Jason K. Jackson

Jason K. Jackson, age 42 of Seymour, passed away on October 5, 2016 at his home. Born October 17, 1973 in Lyons, Kansas, he was the son of Howard K. and Lana G. (Shelton) Jackson. On August 15, 1992 in Brownstown, Jason married Brandi Schafstall.

A graduate of Brownstown High School and Ivy Tech, Jason was a HVAC Tech for HFI of Bloomington. He was a member of the Local 440 Plumbers, Steamfitters and Hvacr Service Technicians Union, the Eagles Club, and VFW. He attended the St. Peters Lutheran Church in Brownstown. Jason was a loving & devoted father and enjoyed cooking, grilling, Nascar and camping.

Survivors include his two children, Damian Stone Jackson and Emily “Brooke” Jackson both of Seymour; his parents, Howard and Lana Jackson of Ocala, FL; maternal grandmother, Jean (Prewitt) Shelton and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jason was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Samuel Shelton and paternal grandparents, James and Genevieve (Kirkpatrick) Jackson.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at the VFW hall in Seymour starting at 12:00 noon. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made to a memorial fund for Damian and Emily Jackson.
