Janice Darlene Branaman, age 70 of Salem, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Schneck Medical Center. Born October 3, 1948 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Rev. Herman and Armelda (Rednour) Coffey. On October 9, 1966 in Medora, she married Kenneth Branaman.
Janice was a member of the Medora Pentecostal Church and attended until her health didn’t allow. She loved music and would sing, play accordion, piano and organ. Janice enjoyed working with crafts, especially making wreaths, bird houses and woodworking. She collects quilts, crocks, oil lamps, rolling pens and Amish collectibles such as dolls and books. Janice was a dog lover leaving behind Baxter and Mia.
Survivors include her husband; son, Kent (Jeannie) Branaman of Columbus; granddaughters, Ashley and Allison Branaman; siblings, Willard (Eloise) Coffey, Michael (Lorraine) Coffey and Ilene (Dave) Nickell.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Alene Coffee.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at the Weddleville Cemetery with Brother M.L. Walls officiating.
