Janet Sue Howard

Janet Sue Howard, age 71 of Butlerville, passed away unexpectedly at Columbus Regional Hospital on Monday, December 29th. Born April 6, 1943 in Richmond, Indiana, she was the daughter of Clayton and Ann (Porfidio) Daniel. A 1961 graduate of Centerville High School, Janet was active with her classmates in the alumni association. She was also a member of the Ya Ya Sisterhood. She was retired as a legal secretary. She enjoyed painting, gardening, traveling and socializing with family and friends. Survivors include her daughter, Charlotte (Todd) Hempstead of Butlerville and a son, Wayne (Anita)Hoskins of Indianapolis. Also surviving are grandchildren, Kenneth and Bailey Hempstead, Miranda and Sarah Goldsberry; great-grandchildren, Lacie and Lila Goldsberry; sister, Patricia (Russell) Lehman of Sebring, FL; uncle Larry Porfidio of Richmond and several cousins and nieces and nephews. Janet was preceded in death by her parents and her Aunt Angie Maze. Visitation will be on Monday, January 5th, 2015 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at the Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre at 311 Holiday Sq. Rd. in Seymour. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 6th at 2:00pm at the funeral home with burial to follow at the Vernon Cemetery.
