James Terry Demaree

James Terry Demaree, age 66 of Madison, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at his residence. Born November 26, 1947 in Madison, Indiana, he was the son of James Lewis and Helen L. (Bishop) Demaree. On July 26, 1969, he married Linda Skelton. Terry started as a car salesman for McCubbin Motors on January 2, 1966 and retired from there on August 3, 2012 and had served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a member of the American Legion Post #9 and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed raising his exotics birds and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include a daughter, Angie Demaree; two sisters, Diane Lautrup and Debbie Demaree; three grandchildren, Aaron Demaree, Rachael Lynn Demaree and Chelsea Demaree and several nieces and nephews. Terry was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda L. (Skelton) Demaree on April 11, 2013 and one son, Mark Thomas Demaree on October 21, 2005. Visitation for Terry will be on Friday, January 10, 2014 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm and from 10:00 am until time of service on Saturday at the Vail Funeral Chapel, 117 Holt Drive. Rev. Ron Walker will conduct services at the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at the Grandview Memorial Gardens.
