James Henry Ferguson, Jr.

James Henry Ferguson, Jr., age 74 of Brownstown, passed at 4:15pm on Thursday, December 18th at home with his family around him. Born on August 15, 1940 in Seymour, he was the son of James Henry “Jake” and Blanche (Hutchings) Ferguson. On March 27, 1964 at the Brownstown Nazarene Church, he married Sandra K. Price. Jim was retired from Kieffer Paper Mill after 40 years of service. He was a member of the Brownstown Nazarene Church and also the Medora Masonic Lodge #328. Jim enjoyed fishing and hunting as well as his horses, restoring cars and playing cards. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sandra; son Jeff and his wife Lisa Ferguson of Brownstown and daughter Diana Beedie and her husband Troy of Brownstown; brother, Bill (Pat) Ferguson; sisters, Jean Gibby, Janet McKinney, Charlene (Carl, Jr.) Roberts, and Linda Horton; grandchildren, Lindsay (Seth) Pray, Katie Ferguson, Chase (Kaila) Beedie and Chance (Bri) Beedie; Great-Grandchildren, Brock Pray, Isabella Scifres and Kaselynn Beedie; Jim also had several nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Donna Wilson and Marlene Charles. Per Jim’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be at 5:00 pm on Monday, December 22nd at the Leesville Methodist Church at 7344 Leatherwood Rd, Bedford, Indiana 47421. There will be a reception with the family following the service. Memorials can be made to the Hospice of Schneck Medical Center or to the Leesville Methodist Church.
