Jack Dean Kendall

Jack Dean Kendall, age 88, a native and resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed from this life on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Schneck Medical Center on Seymour, Indiana. He was born on November 26, 1932 to the late Harold Kendall and the late Emma (Steward) Kendall.
Jack was a faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Seymour for over 49 years and served his Country proudly in the United States Army. Jack loved the land, he was a second generation farmer and took great pride in his agriculture skills. After selling the farm to his son, he worked for Rose Acres for 13 years and then as a greeter at Wal-Mart for another 13 years. Jack loved people and while considered a shy man, he would talk to anyone and make the customers feel at home. After leaving Wal-Mart, Jack loved to focus on his yard and spend time on his lawn mower making sure that everything was neat and watered correctly. Of all the things he loved in this life, nothing could compare to the love he had for his family.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Marilyn (Rumph) Kendall of Seymour, Indiana, two sons, Kenny Kendall and his wife Linda of Seymour, Indiana and Don Kendall and his wife Kelly of Brownstown, Indiana. One daughter, Sandy Padron of Seymour, Indiana. Six grandchildren, Brian Kendall and his fiancé Laura Juntunen, Aimee Nichalson and her husband Tyler, Cassie Butler, Laura Collings and her husband Tyler, Jason Butler and his wife Neea and Janel McNew and her husband Corey all of Seymour, Indiana. Seven great grandchildren, Keaton Butler, Kasen Nichalson, Kamden Butler, Kinsley Butler, Braxton McNew, Brylee Fleetwood and one great granddaughter on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandsons, Erich Kendall and Matt Kendall.
The family will receive friends from 11:00AM until 1:00PM on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00PM on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre with Bro. Brien Stout officiating. He will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour, Indiana. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be directed to Trinity United Methodist Church or to the family to assist with medical expenses.
