Gilberto Rivera

Gilberto Rivera, Native of the Bronx, NY, resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed quietly away to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 23, 2020.

Gil was a kind hearted soul who loved old hot wheel cars, and never missed an opportunity to tell a corny joke. He was as loving as he was kind, and would do anything for anyone. He never had anything bad to say about anyone, always looking for the good. Those who knew him, loved him. He had a lasting effect with everyone who's lives he touched. He made the world a better place just by being in it. His infectious smile, and positive attitude could brighten the darkest days. He had a heart of gold, and a beautiful soul.

He was survived by his Mother, Dorothy Galanis, Aunt, Connie Rivera, brothers Juan Rivera, and Michael Galanis, sister Samantha Galanis, best friend Kathy Swaney, and Crystal, who was like a daughter to him, cousins Yvette Chandir, and Mimi Padilla, and a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Juan Rivera.
