George A. Collins, 36, of Alexandria, Virginia, died at 4:05 pm on Saturday, November 8, 2014, at Our Hospice of Southern Indiana in Columbus, Indiana. Born at Camp Lejeune, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, on April 14, 1978, George was the son of Tim Collins of Scipio, Indiana, and the late Helen (Gerth) McCulley. George graduated in 1996 from Jennings County High School. He was employed as a tattoo artist at Ft. Washington Tattoo Company in Fort Washington, Maryland. George was previously employed at Cummins, Artistry in Emotion, Edi Tattoo and Twysted Imagez Tattoo Studio. Geo was a friend to many. Survivors include two daughters Blaze Collins of Columbus and Emily Collins of Indianapolis; grandmother, Doris Mettler of Columbus; stepmother, Kathy Collins of Scipio; stepfather, Bobby McCulley of Seymour; brothers, Josh Owens and Brandon Clark of Columbus; sister, Christa Erickson of Peoria, Illinois; his aunts and uncles, Walter (Wilma) Gerth of North Vernon, Carole Elam of Hope, Rick (Jennifer) Gerth of Sanford, Florida, Alice West of Bedford, Pete Gerth of North Vernon, Donald Gerth of Seymour, Ralph (Connie) Gerth of Seymour, and numerous cousins. He was proceeded in death by his mother, Helen McCulley; grandparents, Cecil and Apphia Gerth; uncles, Jerry Gerth, Dale Gerth, and Louis Gerth; and grandfather, George Collins. At his request, no services will be held. Private ceremonies will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions for his children can be sent to Erin Poyner 3628 Ostrom Ct. Greenwood, Indiana 46143.
