Frances Howard Brasher

Frances Howard Brasher, age 82, a native of Hazard, Kentucky and a resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Columbus Regional Hospital. She was born on February 12, 1941 to the late Oscar Howard and the late Parley (Taylor) Howard. She was a Christian by faith. She will forever be remembered as a sassy, loving and funny lady that loved to joke and have fun. She was a bartender for over 30 years. She was "momma hen" to her family and her family was her everything.

She is survived by her two sons, Rick Shelton and his wife Rhonda of Colorado and Orville Dean Shelton of Seymour, Indiana. One brother, Bill Howard and his wife Janet of Seymour, Indiana. Four sisters, Ruby Inman of Pensacola, Florida, Bobbi Bourque of Blackstone, Mass, Fern Blanton of Salem, Indiana and Debra Holstein of Vallonia, Indiana. Two grandsons, Josh Shelton and his wife Sonya of Seymour, Indiana and Kelly Shelton and his wife Cyndea Jackson of Seymour, Indiana. Three great grandchildren, Shelby Shelton, Gracie Shelton and Frances Lee Shelton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Orville Howard, Lorenzo Howard and Glen Howard. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Christensen Family Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 7:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Hudson, officiating.
