Ethel A. Green, age 81 of Seymour, passed away at Schneck Medical Center at 9:35pm Thursday, May 7, 2015 with her family at her bedside. Born June 29, 1933 in Corbin, Kentucky, Ethel was the daughter of George Frederick and Ada (Sawyer) Hausman. On August 13, 1955 in Vernon, Indiana, Ethel married Kenneth D. Green Sr. and spent 49 years together before his passing in 2004. Together, they raised four children and she gardened and did lots of cooking staying home raising her children. Ethel was a member of the Bethany Community Baptist Church and loved to go to garage sales in search of the treasure to add to her Angel collection. She loved flowers especially yellow roses and will be remembered for having a huge heart. She enjoyed talking with friends on the phone. Ethel leaves behind her four children, Kenneth Green, Jr and his wife Elois of Paris Crossing, Vivian Cole and her husband Danny of Seymour, Freda Cole and her husband Terry of Seymour and Randy Green of Crothersville. Also surviving are grandchildren, Kendra (John) Harris, Darla (Ben) Rorick, Ben Cole, Danni Cowles, Amanda (Tim) Lush, Mackenzie (Mike) Trinkle, Whitney (Nate Toppe) Cole; great-grandchildren, John Jr, Rusty, Brayden, Bryce, Brennen, Kennedy, Tatum, Mallory, Shelby, Sydney, Brayden, Brook and Bentley; great-great grandson, Carter Michaels; sisters, Mildred Skelton of PA and Margaret Harp of Corbin, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth, infant who passed at birth; siblings, Charles, Freda and Pauline. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday at 1:00pm at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre at 311 Holiday Sq. Rd. in Seymour. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and from noon until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow services at Vernon Cemetery.
