Ella Marie Beam

Ella Marie Beam, 90, of Seymour, passed away April 21, 2017 at the Lutheran Community Home. Born January 31, 1927 in New Castle, Indiana, she was the daughter of Thomas and Tresie Ella (Bunch) Surber. 
Ella graduated from New Castle High School in 1945and was a former member of the First United Methodist Church. She married Alfred Nelson Beam on January 31, 1946 in New Castle. In 2003 she moved to Seymour and became a member of the Central Christian Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed traveling and being with her family. She showed a loving heart to everyone she knew.
She is survived by her daughter, Sonna (Howard) Wente of Seymour; three grandchildren, David Sean and Natalie Marie Beam and Valerie Marie (Warren) McDonald; four great-grandchildren, Annemarie, Jacob, Rachel Marie and Caleb Neal; and her sister-in-law, Marjorie Ellen Edwards.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 63 years; her son, David Alan (Sherrie) Beam; five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at the Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre in Seymour. Friends and family may call at Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre on Tuesday, April 25 from 9:00 am until time of service. Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery in New Castle at 3:00 pm.
