Eileen Hildreth

Eileen Hildreth, age 70 of Seymour, passed away at 8:52pm Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at her home with her family by her bedside. Born March 2, 1944 in Phoenix, AZ, she was the daughter of Loren Symons. On August 16, 1964, Eileen married Walter Hildreth in Seymour A cook by profession, she worked at the Holiday Inn for 18 years and then the Elks Club for 9 years. Eileen had little idle time, filled with her passion for cooking, canning, and especially a love for her flower garden. You could find her enjoying anything from fishing, bingo, to Playstation 2. However it was the way she loved and cared for her family that will be missed the most. Survivors include her husband Walter; daughters, Cathy (Mark) Reed of Williamsport, IN, Melissa (Paul Reeves) Salazar of Seymour and Belinda (Timothy) Pittman of North Vernon. Also two brothers, Alfred (Helen) Symons of Phoenix and Albert Symons of Pueblo, CO; Grandchildren, Brent Pollock, Bobbie-Jo (Eric) Hess, Tanya (Jr.) Washington, Cassandra Salazar, Walter Pittman and Katelyn Pittman; Great Grandsons are Joshua Hess and Landon Salazar. The list would not be complete, however, without including Eileen’s Schnauzer Princess. Visitation for Eileen will be on Sunday, October 26th from 2:00pm until 6:00pm at the Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre at 311 Holiday Sq. Rd in Seymour. Services will be on Monday at the funeral home at 11:00am with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Hospice of Schneck Medical Center.
