Earl B. Mullins

Earl B. Mullins, age 91 of Bedford, passed away at 7:57am on Monday, April 21, 2014 at the IU Health Campus in Bedford. Born August 7, 1922 in Sneedville, TN, he was the son of Eugene and Minnie (Bell) Mullins. Earl was married to Marie Brown and shared 17 years before her passing. A chef by profession, Earl worked at various restaurants and country clubs in the area. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bedford. Survivors include two sisters, Callie Laney of Bedford and Joan Crowe of Jeffersonville. He is also survived by his niece and caregiver Donna Alexander as well as several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and siblings, Hubert Mullins, Willard Mullins, Clint Mullins, Gertrude Bush, Mary Banks, Viola Sturgeon and Lucy Killey. At Earl’s request, cremation has been planned with a private family graveside service to be held at the Scottsburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of Bedford care of the funeral home.
