Dorrell Kenneth “Eddie” Ritchie, age 27, passed away on August 22, 2014. Born on January 18, 1987, he was the son of Dorrell F. Ritchie and Mary H. Logsdon Ritchie. His step-father was Ronald Shelton. Mr. Ritchie was a 2005 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. He was a mechanic and worked at Stanley’s Auto Service. He attended church with his grandmother at the Chelsea Church of God. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, hunting, riding four-wheelers, motorcycles, and spending time with and helping his friends and neighbors. He was a loving uncle and helped raise his niece and nephews: Heather Chattham, Nathaniel Ritchie, and Wyatt Buerke. Survivors include a son, Steven Dukes Ritchie of Dupont, his mother, Mary Ritchie of Dupont, his father Dorrell F. Ritchie of Virginia, his step-dad Ronnie Shelton of Dupont, his step-mother Debra Ritchie, Grandparents Charles and June Ritchie of Hanover, a brother Christopher Logsdson (Amy) of Vevay, sisters Chasity Ritchie Logsdon Rose (William “Bill”), Shantell Ritchie Robak (Robert), and a brother Dorrell F. Ritchie Jr. of Virginia, and an uncle Barry Ritchie (Shannon). He also leaves behind many other family members. Eddie was preceded in death by his twin brother, Darrell F. Ritchie at birth, his grandparents Francis and Marjorie Logsdon Pratt, his great-grandparents Howard and Helen Ritchie, and Irven and Jesse Bear. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 4pm-8pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 117 Holt Drive, Madison. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 11:00am at the funeral home, with burial at the Mt. Zion cemetery.
