Doris M Bringle

Doris M. Bringle, age 91 of Bartholomew County, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Lakeview Manor in Indianapolis. Doris was born in January of 1926 on New Jersey. Doris was the youngest and only surviving child of Gustave Barnett and Burnetta Johnson-Barnett. Doris married U S Navy Veteran Lynn E. Bringle in June of 1949; together having six children, all surviving.

Their children are: Jeffrey Bringle of Columbus, Kenneth Bringle of Indianapolis, Lois Sprague of Indianapolis, Linda (Daniel) Ryan of Evansville, Douglas (Sharon) Bringle of Columbus and Steven (Traci) Bringle of Indianapolis. Doris also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Bringle enjoyed a long and productive life of raising her children, working in retail, primary education and as the housemother at Circle Pines Men's Coop of Purdue University. In addition Doris enjoyed arts and live entertainment, travel to distant places and time with friends and family.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Old Union Christian Church at 12703 N 50 W, Edinburgh. Burial will be at Old Union Cemetery.
