Doris Ann Taskey-Van Curen

Doris Ann Taskey-Van Curen, age 66 of Brownstown, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at home. Born January 28, 1951 in Seymour, she was the daughter of Delbert Earl and Virginia Louise (Holloman) Taskey.

A graduate of Seymour High School, Doris attended Michigan Christian College. She worked as a pharmacy tech for CVS. She was a member of the Brownstown United Methodist Church and enjoyed sewing, crafting and reading.

Survivors include her sons, Russell Holloman Taskey of Brownstown and Gregory Van Curen of Iowa; siblings, Rosetta (Scott) Lashlee of Fort Myers, FL, John (Leona) Taskey of Seymour, Omer (Margaret) Taskey of Edinburgh, Patty (Randy) Burris of Salem and Brenda (Gary) Lewis of Scipio. Doris also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Debra Taskey.

No services are planned and cremation has been chosen. Burial will follow at a later date at Riverview Cemetery. Memorials can be made at the funeral home in Doris’ memory to the Doris Taskey Memorial Fund.
