Doreen A. Joseph-Miller

Doreen Joseph-Miller, age 64 of Brownstown, passed away at 9:15pm on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at her home. Born August 20, 1951 in San Rafael, CA, she was the daughter of Ernest Manuel Joseph and Veronica Faye (Knowles) Burris.

Doreen was a member of the Driftwood Christian Church. Until her illness, she worked for Blue Rivers Services as a CNA caring for the mentally handicapped. Her interests include watching movies, reading, fishing, going to the beach, collecting seashells. Her most enjoyment was spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her one true love, Joseph F. Miller, Jr; her children, Jessica Lynn (Luis Martin) Bracamonte of Seymour, Ernestia Marie Lopez of Crothersville and Jeremy Dwight Tyler Joseph of Brownstown; brother, Gerald Joseph of California; sister, Sherry Matlock of Seymour. Doreen also had 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Doreen was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Jess Henry Joseph; brother George Joseph; sisters, Elsie Joseph and Joyce Martinez; and three great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 4:30pm on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the Driftwood Christian Church in Vallonia. Friends can visit with the family from 3:30pm until the service time at the church. Memorials can be made at the funeral home made to the Driftwood Christian Church.
