Seymour

Donna Sue (Parker) Lucas, a nurturing spirit and devoted homemaker, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025, at Hoosier Health and Living in Brownstown, Indiana. Born in Seymour, Indiana, on February 5, 1946, Donna wove a life of love and compassion that resonated deeply within her community and family. She was a 1964 graduate of Seymour, High School.

For over 53 cherished years, she stood by her beloved husband, Harry W. Lucas, creating a fairytale of togetherness that served as an enduring testament to partnership and devotion. Their journey was one of harmony, where every moment was infused with the warmth of love, and every shared laughter echoed in their close-knit family.

In addition to her role as an extraordinary homemaker, Donna was a cornerstone of the Brownstown First Pentecostal Church, a faithful member for more than 43 years. Her generosity and willingness to help anyone in need were hallmarks of her character; a beacon of light in the lives she touched. Donna's kind-hearted nature inspired those around her, encouraging them to embrace kindness and share the gift of support.

Her passions extended beyond her home; the thrill of discovering hidden treasures at garage sales and flea markets brought joy to her spirit, an opportunity to indulge in the simple pleasures of life. It was through these endeavors that she found connections and stories, elevating the mundane to the delightful.

Donna leaves behind a loving family, including her step daughter, Gwen Mirise, and her husband Phil of Bargersville, Indiana; her sister, Charlotte Jacob of Milledgeville, Georgia; and two beloved grandchildren, Kendall and Cordyn Mirise. Each life she influenced is a testament to her nurturing spirit, leaving imparted lessons of love, generosity, and resilience that will last for generations.

Donna's legacy endures beyond her passing—the memories of moments shared, the laughter still echoing, and the love that binds them all. Her parents, Earl Parker and Theresa (Turpin) Parker, and her sisters, Marion Hess and Leona Isaacs, welcomed her home, reuniting in eternal peace.
