Donald Wayne Marr

Donald W Marr, 73, of rural Scottsburg IN, passed away Monday, November 21 2022 at Lake Pointe Village in Scottsburg IN. He was born December 8 1948 in Louisville KY to the late Frank Marr and the late Mable Hall Marr. Donald was married 25 years to Karen Fawbush Marr. For over 40 years he was co-owner, with his brother Ernie Marr, of Marr Company Inc. specializing in Masonry Restoration. He was a member of Mt Hebron Christian Church. Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, singing at nursing homes with Karen, race horses, and cars. He was talkative, a jokester, a strong hard worker with high work ethic, he could fix anything, was a good provider and loved his family very much. He was a good boss to his employees and treated them like family. Survivors: his wife Karen; children Anthony Marr of Borden IN, Jason Marr (Kara) of Floyds Knobs IN, Donetta Swift (Skip) of Scottsburg, and Debbie Combs of Scottsburg; brothers Ernie Marr (Wanda) of Borden IN and Terry Marr of Arizona; sister Susie Richey (Gary) of Texas. Grandchildren Clayton "CJ" Swift, Sophia Marr, Athena Marr, Maddy Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Joeann Cronix.

Friends and Family may visit 5:00pm until 7:00pm, Friday, December 9 2022 at Christensen-Hoagland Family Funeral Home with Sunset Celebration of Life services beginning at 7:00 PM with Pastor Rodney Sweeney officiating. Private Graveside services will be held on Saturday,  December 10, 2022 at the Fawbush Marr Pioneer Cemetery.
