Dennis Scott Montgomery

Dennis "Scott" Montgomery, age 72, a native of Scottsburg, Indiana and a resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2023 at Seymour Crossing. He was born on March 23, 1952 to the late Lebert Montgomery and the late Viola (Prall) Montgomery. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy and was an employee of the Indiana Department of Transportation for over 52 years. Scott was man that was very set in his ways and passionate about the things he loved. He enjoyed computers and music, especially the blues.

He is survived by his wife of over 47 years, Cynthia (Everlen) Montgomery of Seymour, Indiana. One son, Terry Montgomery of Scottsburg, Indiana and two daughters, Cheri Montgomery and her husband Jeff Masters of Mount Washington, Kentucky and Sarae Izenwulf of Clarksville, Indiana. Two brothers, Dwight Montgomery and his wife Kristi of Dayton, Ohio and Gary Montgomery and his wife Mary of Marengo, Indiana. Two sisters, Linda Parks and her husband Lawrence of Scottsburg, Indiana and Arless Montgomery of Underwood, Indiana. Four grandchildren and one great grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

On keeping with his wishes, cremation has been chosen and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
