Dennis Gregory Fewell

Dennis Gregory Fewell, age 78, born in Louisville, Kentucky and a resident of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022 at his residence. He was born on March 11, 1944 to the late Gordon Fewell and the late Marjorie (Kattman) Fewell Rogers. Dennis was a member of First United Methodist Church, a member of the Louisville Astronomical Society and a graduate of Purdue. He enjoyed operating a ham radio and was excellent at Morse Code. He had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed rock climbing and mountain climbing. His love for mountain climbing was evident in his climbing of Mt. Rainer, Mt. Hood, Mt. Saint Helens. He loved music and playing the guitar. Dennis was a kind man that loved life and lived it to the fullest. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him and each life that he touched in his own special way.
Dennis is survived by his wife of over 51 years, Brenda (Herron) Fewell of Scottsburg, Indiana, one step-daughter, Rachael Nelson and her husband Dale of Kodiak, Alaska. Two step-grandchildren, Chloe and Gabe. Sisters in law, Bonnie Fewell of Scottsburg, Indiana and Marsha Burns Fewell of Indianapolis, Indiana. Two nieces, Pam and Tara, great niece, Rina and three great nephews, Zack, Hunter and Cavin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Terry Fewell and James Randall Fewell. One sister, Marna Hodson, Step father, Gordon Rogers and one nephew, Troy Hodson and one niece, Kim Steinkemp.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 26, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM with Pastoral words of comfort to be held at 4:00 PM.
