Deborah Lynn (Perkins) Jarrell

Deborah Lynn “Momma” (Perkins) Jarrell, 71, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away at her residence on Monday, June 5, 2023 with family members by her side. Deborah was born February 19, 1952 in Louisville KY to the late William John Perkins and the late Virginia L (Rose) Perkins. She was a 1970 graduate of PRP High School in Louisville KY. Since 2018, Deborah enjoyed her membership with her church family at Turning Point Church in Scottsburg IN. She loved flowers, digging in the dirt, nature, outdoors, gardening, and canning vegetables. Deborah was a homemaker and deeply loved her family--teaching them that “family is everything”; always being “hands on” with her family. She had a strong faith in God and renewed her walk with God in 2019. She was a strong, nurturing, loving, intelligent woman with a contagious laugh and sparkling blue eyes. Her treatment of people caused people to be drawn to call her “Momma”. Survivors include her daughters, Nikki Spicer & Anthony of Austin IN, Sarah L Davis & Bradley of Salem IN; her grandchildren, Emma Davis, Tylar Rector and  Dylan Jarrell who she lovingly called "Mr. Wonderful", sister Carolyn Snellen of Louisville KY, father of her children and life long companion Ralph Jarrell of DePaw IN, and several other relatives and friends she loved as family. Along with her parents preceding death are brothers Jim Perkins, Steve Perkins & Paul Perkins.

Funeral Services: Thursday, June 8 2023, 6pm, at Turning Point Church, 899 W. McClain Ave., Scottsburg IN 47170. Friends and Family Visitation: Thursday, June 8 2023 4pm – 6pm at the church with Pastor Jon Jackson officiating.
