David Lynn Waggoner, a man of unwavering strength and old-school charm, passed away peacefully at his home in Freetown, Indiana on August 9, 2024. He was born on January 25, 1942, and throughout his life, he touched the hearts of many with his upfront demeanor and strong will.

David was a proud graduate of Freetown High School, Class of 1960. He spent his days as a dedicated member of the Freetown Church of Christ and made a name for himself the founder and owner of Waggoner Landscaping, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and success that his son carries on today.

In his free time, David found joy in the simplicity of life's pleasures. Whether it was out hunting rabbits and deer, casting his line into the water while fishing, or meticulously manicuring his yard, he always found contentment in these pursuits.

At the time of his passing, David was surrounded by his beloved family, whom he cherished more than anything in the world. His departure leaves a void in the lives of his loved ones, but his memory will forever be etched in their hearts.

He is also survived by his granddaughters Victoria Howard and Krystal Baughman and her husband Derek, along with their great-grandchildren Karson Sparrow, Khloe Sparrow, Trinity Wilder, Grayson Baughman and Adian Baughman. In the company of David in heaven are his late father, Hessey Waggoner, mother Rowina (Carmichael) Waggoner, and his beloved wife of 44 years, Sharon (Browning) Waggoner. He is also reunited with his brothers Kenny and Ron Waggoner.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His unwavering spirit and steadfast presence will be remembered fondly, and his legacy of love and dedication will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.

In keeping with his wishes, the family has chosen cremation and a celebration of life will be held at a later date
