David Lee Wiesehan

David Lee Wiesehan, age 71 of Seymour, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Columbus Regional Hospital. Born July 27, 1946 in Warsaw, Indiana, he was the son of Kenneth Lee and Dorothy (Schelper) Wiesehan.

David graduated in 1964 from Warsaw Community High School and in 1971 from Purdue University with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. Upon graduation from Purdue, David worked at Rose Acre Farms. Then he worked full time on the family farm raising hogs and beef cattle. He is a U.S. Army veteran and received the Bronze Star Medal for his service in Vietnam.

On February 19, 1972 at St. Paul Lutheran Church-Borchers, he married Karen Sue Otte, who survives. David is also survived by his two children, Mark (Melessa) Wiesehan of Seymour and Julie (Scott) Matthys of New Carlisle, Indiana. David also leaves behind three grandchildren, Sydney and Trevor Wiesehan and Kyle Matthys; also one brother, Donald (Marsha) Wiesehan of Claypool, Indiana and one aunt, Dorthy Wiesehan of Antwerp, OH. He also had several cousins, nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Marilyn McKeon.

Pastor Stephen Wood will conduct funeral services at 7:00pm on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at 11:00am Wednesday meeting at Riverview Cemetery where David will be honored with full military rites. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made at the funeral home to the Seymour Community Schools New Ag Science Building or to the Hamilton Township Fire Department.
