David E. Bray

David E. Bray, age 68 of Seymour, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at the Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville. Born September 11, 1945 in Iuka, Mississippi, he was the son of Archie and Clara Wilma (Smith) Bray. On June 12, 1982, he married Vickie Pollert of Seymour who preceded him in death in 2006. David was retired from Cummins Engine Company after 31 years of service. He was a member of the United Christian Church in Uniontown and was active in Promise Keepers and Toastmasters. David was also an avid painter and enjoyed spending time with his grandson. Survivors include his two sons, Jonathan and Joseph Bray, both of Seymour; brother, Paul (Judy) Bray of Seymour, Sister Dorothy Owens of Jasper, AL and his grandson Hunter Bray. Also, David is survived by several nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents, wife and brother Barney. Visitation will be on Friday, June 6th from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at the Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre at 311 Holiday Sq. Rd. Services will be on Saturday conducted by Pastor Damon Marling at 11:00am at the funeral home followed by burial at Riverview Cemetery.
