Cleatus Charles Hutchinson, age 53 of Freetown, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Schneck Medical Center. Born October 31, 1964 in Marion County, he was the son of Joe L. Hutchinson and Virginia (Proffitt) Hupp. On October 30, 1982 in Freetown, he married Julie Spoonamore.
For over 25 years, Cleatus worked as a truck driver. He also operated a small engine business for a while and loved tinkering on things. He was a jack of all trades who always liked to stay busy working in his shop.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Julie of Freetown; son, Justin I. (Jessica Ellis) Hutchinson of Evansville; granddaughter, Vivian Ellis-Hutchinson; father-in-law, Philip Spoonamore; siblings, Kimberly Hodge and Yvonne Hupp of Seymour, Diane (Aaron) Whitaker and Dax Hutchinson both of Evansville, and Tammy Francis-French of Indianapolis; sisters-in-law, Cathie (Don) Miller of Seymour, Karen (Allen) Maze of Westport and Lori (Tom) Watson of Kennesaw, GA. Cleatus also had numerous aunts, uncles nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre in Seymour. Friends can call from 4:00pm until service time Thursday. Cremation will follow services.
