Christine (Colwell) Carr, age 70, a native of McRoberts, Kentucky and a resident of Seymour, Indiana, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Schneck Medical Center. She was born on August 3, 1950 to the late Paul Colwell and the late Katherine (Berry) Colwell.
She was much loved by her friends and family. Christine moved to Indiana when she was 8 years old with her mother and her siblings after the death of her Father. She married Delmas “Del” Carr on May 7, 1982 in Henrietta, Texas. He was the love of her life and they shared 38 wonderful years together. In her younger years she has worked at KMart and Wal-Mart. She was extremely devoted to her family and she loved them very much. She loved to travel with her husband who was in the United States Army and loved the time that they spent in Germany. She also love fishing and cooking and living life to the fullest.
Christine is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Delmas, “Del” Carr of Seymour, Indiana. One son, Shawn Puckett of Seymour, Indiana, one daughter, Paula Riehl and her husband Gary of Columbus, Indiana. Three grandchildren, Arianna Puckett of Seymour, Indiana, Isabella Sexton of Columbus, Indiana and Zane Sexton of Miami, Ohio. Two step children, Randy Carr and Julie Carr of Prairie Grove, Arkansas and step granddaughter, Tira Welk of Arkansas. One sister, Sallie Foster and her husband Kenny of Paris Crossing, Indiana. She very much loved her two dogs, Mason and Lacy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Lawrence Colwell and one sister, Glenna Wright.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre. Funeral services will be held at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel in Madison, Indiana beginning at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 23, 2021
