Cheryl L. “Kak” Harlow, age 48 of Madison, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at her residence. Born November 30, 1965 in Madison, she was the daughter of Gerald “Jerry” and Ruth (Pearson) Harlow. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Lenna Stewart Harlow, Elvin and Mabel Pearson and Viola Pearson; her Aunt and Uncles, Thelma and Harold Thurnall and Dorothy and Marion Harlow; her uncle Edward Follis, her Uncle Howard Dugle, her Uncle Robert Pearson, her cousins, Ernie and Ruth Hunt, and John Dugle. Cheryl graduated from high school in Vevay, Indiana in 1984. She then started her career in the medical field as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant). She was employed at Swiss Villa Nursing Home and then in 1989, she began employment at King’s Daughters Hospital. She loved her job and taking care of those entrusted in her care. Cheryl was a member of the North Madison Christian Church and loved her church family, especially, Tim, Erin, Cooper and Hudson Chandler. Her hobbies included reading, computer, watching NASCAR, going to NASCAR races with her dear friend, Robin Geyman. She also enjoyed watching IU Basketball games and she dearly loved Bobby Knight. Survivors include her parents, Gerald “Jerry” and Ruth (Pearson) Harlow of Madison; her sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Dwight Addleman of Madison, her Aunt Betty Follis of Farmer City, IL; her Aunt Rosemarie Pearson of Schereville, IN; her Aunt Edith Dugle of Rising Sun, IN; her Aunt and Uncle Gladys and Burnie Hunt of Florence, IN. Also her dear friend, Robin Geyman of Madison as well as several cousins. At Cheryl’s request, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Wounded Warrior Project.
