Cheryl Jean Moore

Cheryl Jean Moore, 54, of Morocco, passed away Monday morning, January 25, 2016, at St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette. She was born in Seymour, Indiana on December 22, 1961, the daughter of Georgia (Ault) Johnson-Hoaks and the late Warren Johnson. She graduated from North Newton High School. On May 31, 1986, in Morocco, she married Jerry Lee Moore.

Cheryl worked as a personal caregiver, assisting people in their homes. She also worked as a waitress at local restaurants, including Merchants and Trail Tree. She attended Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in and she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Morocco. She enjoyed watching NASCAR, the Indianapolis Colts, and The Real Housewives TV shows. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Jerry Lee Moore; her mother Georgia Johnson-Hoaks;one son, Logan Lee Moore; two daughters, Cayla Lynn Moore and Danah Jo Moore; two grandsons, Zane Lee Francis Moore and Benjamin Walter Jo Moore; and one granddaughter, Melody Nevaeh Lynn Moore; one brother, Stephen B. Johnson (wife: Kathy); and two sisters, Janet Sue Ross (husband: Larry) and Elverna Kay Cummings and Several Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by: one brother; her father, Warren Johnson; her step-father, John Hoaks; and one nephew Cole Catfish Cummings.
