Charles Spencer Baker II, age 68, a native of Indianapolis, Indiana and a resident of Findlay, Illinois, formerly of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield Illinois. He was born on September 28, 21953 to the late Charles S. Baker Sr. and the late Ida May (Blume) Griffin. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He will forever be remembered as a friendly and outgoing man that had a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed coin collecting, gun collecting and archery. He was an avid Beatles fan and collector of Beatles Memorabilia.
He is survived by his son, Charles Spencer Baker III of Findlay, Illinois and one daughter, Amanda Elam and her husband Danny of Austin, Indiana. One brother, Jim Baker of Florida and four grandchildren, Joshua Robinson, Emily Brooks, Nathan Brooks and Brooklyn Baker. One great grandson, Liam Robinson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Donations to: American Cancer Society, with envelopes at the Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 14, 2022 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Christensen-Hoagland Family Funeral Home. 80 N 1st St., Scottsburg, IN 47170. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jim Hudson officiating. He will be laid to rest at Scottsburg Cemetery. Christensen-Hoagland Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
