Charles Raymond Hensley

Charles Raymond Hensley, 82 of Madison, passed away on July 5, 2014 at The Waters of Clifty Falls. Born January 16, 1932, he was the son of Charles Raymond and Gypsy Lee (Winters) Hensley. On February 25, 1955 in Madison, he married Phyllis Banta. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Charles was a member of the Lick Branch Baptist Church. He had worked at Hills Dairy, Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, Anaconda and at various factories as a security guard. He also had a dairy farm. Survivors include his wife Phyllis of Madison, son Dennis Hensley of Madison and grandson Michael of Denver, CO. Charles also had three sisters, Pasty Stewart of Campbellsburg, KY, Nancy Jolly of Crestwood, KY and Diane Ringwald of Florence, KY. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and son Michael Wayne. Visitation will be on Wednesday July 9, 2014 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the Woodlawn-Vail Funeral Chapel at 117 Holt Drive in Madison. Services will be at 1:00pm at the funeral home.
