Carolyn Sue Staples

Carolyn Sue Wheeler Day Staples, age 74 of Seymour, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at her home with her family by her side. Born December 27, 1942 in Seymour, she was the daughter of John Wheeler and Sally (Davison) Spalding .

Carolyn was a very loving woman. She enjoyed playing bingo, fishing and listening to country music. Her biggest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children; Sueann (Billy) Hughes, Julie (Harold) Johnson, Marguerite (Carlton) Townsend and Charles W. Day. Her grandchildren; Linda Morris, James Giles, Kathy and Patricia Day, Charles (Elizabeth) Breedlove, William Carmack, Marget Romine, Rebecca and Carlton Townsend, Amanda (Gary) Alexander, Amy Day, Angela Day, Charles Day Jr., Brandon Day, Matthew Day, Joseph Day, Shirley Day, Savanna Day, Kyle Day, Donald Walker, Zack Walker and Jason Gray. Several great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, her sisters; Dorothy, Edna, Wilma, Anita, Billie, Brenda, Virginia and Vera, and her brother, Johnny.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Franklin Day who passed away on October 10, 1992, her parents, and her sister, Cheryl Bryant.
