Carol Ann Spurgeon, 73 of Seymour passed away October 14, 2020 at Covered Bridge Health Campus. Born July 23, 1947 in Seymour she was the daughter of Hershel and Edna (Hallett) Spurgeon.
Carol had worked for Dickson’s for over 37 years and was a lifelong member of the Church of the Nazarene. The church was her life. She had many roles such as singing in the choir, teaching 2nd grade Sunday school for many years, and leading the Cherub Children’s Choir. She enjoyed crafting, angels, and people. She loved building relationships with people and was known as “Aunt Carol” to everyone who knew her. She was a faithful, kind, tender hearted friend to all.
Survivors include her niece Danielle Kaufman and her husband Chris of Seymour and Rev. Damon Spurgeon and his wife Irishe of Dellroy, Ohio; a great niece Sarah Kaufman of Seymour.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Forrest Spurgeon; her sister in law, Delphine Spurgeon and several uncles and aunts.
Rev. Stan Loutner will conduct funeral service at 5:00pm at The Point on Sunday, October 18, 2020. Visitation will be on Sunday after 2:00pm until the time of service at The Point. A private burial will take place at Ackert’s Cemetery. Services will be livestreamed on Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre’s Facebook page.
