Carl Harrison Skirvin

Carl Harrison Skirvin, age 69 of Madison, passed away July 23, 2013 at King’s Daughters Hospital. Born November 25, 1943 in Owenton, KY he was the son of Chester A. and Lousetia (Conley) Skirvin who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Della Mae; four brothers, Chester Jr. Skirvin, Willis Skirvin, Richard Skirvin and Albert Vernon. Mr. Skirvin attended Carroll County High School. He loved writing songs, singing, playing guitar and spending time with his nieces and nephews, Carl was a free sprit. He attended a Christian Church. Survivors include one daughter, Denisa Stigers of Worthville, KY; four sisters, Betty English of Austin, IN, Linda Smith of Bedford, KY, Emma King of Mauldin, SC and Kathy Douglas of Blue Springs, MO; two granddaughters, Labriska and Rachel Ligon and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Ghent Masonic Cemetery in Carroll County, Kentucky.
