Brenda S Smith

April 29, 1944 — November 17, 2021

Brenda Sue Hardwick Smith, 77, passed away on November 17 2021. She had been battling cancer. Brenda was the daughter of the late Hulan Hardwick and Bonnie Wilson Hardwick.  Brenda was of the Baptist faith. She was married to Keith Smith for 42 years. She was retired from Reliance where she had worked 39 years. She was a member of the Madison Moose. She loved spending time with family and friends. She loved playing cards, doing puzzle books, and going to flea markets. Brenda is survived by a son Gilbert Smith and three daughters Sheila Smith, Kendra Smith, and Carri Smith. Brenda is preceded in death by her husband Keith Smith who passed away in 2018, also preceded in death by a step son Ray Smith and a step daughter Kim Mitchell; three sisters Bettie Hudson, Jean Crabtree, Judy Grubbs; and brother Junior Hardwick. She is also survived by two brothers Roger Hardwick and Kenny Hardwick and a sister Debbie Cook, two brother-in-laws Bill Hudson and Tony Grubbs; three step daughters Pam Smith, Michelle Mann, and Sheila Klimek; 11 grandkids Bryan, Carl, Destiny, Raeann, Brandi, Candi, Zach, Justin, Kodi, Shelby, Alysia; and 21 great grandkids.  

Visitation:  11am  -  1pm  Monday  November 22 2021

            Stewart & Hoagland Funeral Home,  80 N 1st St., Scottsburg IN 47170

Funeral Service:  1pm  Monday  November 22 2021 at the funeral home

            with burial to follow at Mt. Zion cemetery, Paynesville IN.
