Betty Maxine (Montgomery) McClellan, age 87, a native and resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at her residence. She was born on January 24, 1935 to the late Albert Montgomery and the late Ruby (Johnson) Montogomery. She graduated from Shields High School, Seymour, 1953. Betty was a member of Hilltop Church in Brownstown, Indiana where she was piano player and secretary. She sold real estate for several years and was a past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star. She was involved in playing country music from the age of 17 until 1988. She was a member of the Staff Band at the Brown County Jamboree for three years and appeared several times at Renfro Valley Kentucky. Betty was an outgoing lady that never met a stranger and loved people, especially her family.
She is survived by her two sons, Robert Jay McClellan and his wife Kellee of Hayden, Indiana and Thomas "Scott" McClellan and his wife Linnie of Seymour, Indiana. Three grandsons, Robert Aaron McClellan, Thomas S. McClellan II and Joshua Charles McClellan. One great grand-daughter, MacKenzie Shaw. Three great grandsons, Alechi McClellan, Justin Scott McClellan and Colton McClellan. Two great-great children, Noah Charles McClellan and Adeline Nichole McClellan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Loren K. Parker, her second husband, Thomas J. McClellan and one son, Lionel Ray Parker. One brother, Robert Lee Montgomery and two sisters, Velva Jean Montgomery and Evelyn Dillon.
