IN MEMORY OF Betty Lou Eldredge Betty Lou Eldredge, age 84 of Madison, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015. Betty entered life on September 24, 1930 in Madison; she was the loving daughter of Charles and Cordelia Pearl (Kidwell) Buchanan. Betty was united in marriage to Marvin L. Shepherd on 1950; this union was blessed with four daughters and one son. Betty met and later married Arthur H. Eldredge on July 19, 1999 in Madison. Betty was employed with at the U.S. Shoe Company, Madison State Hospital and Robus Leather Corporation. She was baptized at New Hope Baptist Church where she became a member. Betty was a loving mother and a gifted interior decorator and enjoyed antique shopping. SURVIVORS Survivors include her husband, Arthur; her daughters, Pamela Lee Cloud and her husband Billy of Madison, Deborah Kay Leland of Scottsburg, Victoria Marie Bramwell and her husband Keith of Madison, Stephanie Lynn Unterbrink of Madison; her son Marvin Dennis Shepherd and his wife Julie of Lexington; her eight grandchildren, Chris Cloud, Elishia Caudill and her husband David, Scott Weaver, Amanda Bramwell, Ryan Bramwell, Katrina Pease and her husband Chad, Colten Shepherd and Caleb Jones; her six great-grandchildren, Kyle Cloud, Lakin Price, Kenna Cloud, Shane Caudill, Bo Kahn, Ava Kahn. Betty is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Rosemary Jones, Imogene Brackemyer, Dorothy Steinhardt and Patricia Phillips; three brothers, Grover Curtis Buchanan, Emerson Buchanan and Charles Junior “Jug” Buchanan; and her son-in-law, John Unterbrink SERVICES Pastor Mike Cammack will conduct funeral services on Thursday, January 29th at 1:00 pm at Woodlawn-Vail Funeral Chapel at 2800 Michigan Road, with interment at Grandview Memorial Gardens. VISITATION Friends and family may call at Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. EXPRESSIONS OF SYMPATHY Memorials can be made to the Jefferson County Animal Shelter. Contribution cards will be available at the funeral home.
