Betty Joy Mcvay

Betty Joy (Pernett) McVay, age 68, of Madison, IN, passed away on Thursday, September, 19, 2013 at Thornton Terrace Health Campus. Born December 27, 1944 in Indianapolis, Indiana, she was the daughter of Robert E. and Kathryn N. (Joyce) Pernett, who preceded her in death. Mrs. McVay worked at Grote Manufacturing Company retiring after over twenty-five years of service. She attended Central High and graduated in 1962. Mrs. McVay was a member of the Ryker’s Ridge Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping, and spending time with her friends, family and especially her grandchildren. SURVIVORS Survivors include one daughter, Angel Cook and her husband, Bob of Fort Wayne, IN; one son, Mike McVay and his wife, Melissa of Fort. Wayne, IN; one sister in law, Reba (McVay) Ehlers of Atlanta, Georgia; five grandchildren, Joshua and Caleb Cook, Hailey, Makayla, and Gavin McVay all of Fort Wayne, IN and several cousins. SERVICES Dr. Paul Brewster will conduct funeral services at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at the Vail Funeral Chapel, 117 Holt Drive with interment in the Springdale Cemetery VISITATION Family and friends may call at the Vail Funeral Chapel, 117 Holt Drive from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday, September 23,2013 and after 10:00 A.M. Tuesday until time of service at the Vail Funeral Chapel. EXPRESSIONS OF SYMPATHY The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Ryker’s Ridge Baptist Church. Contribution cards will be available at the Vail Funeral Chapel.
