Betty Jent

Betty Thelma (Riley) Jent, 64 of Seymour passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020 at her residence. Born August 16, 1955 in Scottsburg she was the daughter of Ance and Mattie Ruth (Taylor) Riley.
Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, yard sales, cooking and gardening. Betty loved her grandchildren and would always help anyone who needed her. She had retired after many years from Fauerecia in 2014.
Betty is survived by her husband whom she married in October of 1983, Harold Jent of Seymour; her sons, Brian Gellhouse and his wife Cecile of Seymour, Jason Jent and his wife Glenda of Seymour, Troy Davidson and his wife Dorothy of Austin, Andrew Harless and his wife Darla of Oklahoma and Kenneth Jent of Seymour; her sister, Georgia Grider and her husband John of Austin; her brothers, Fred Riley and his wife Tamara of Scottsburg, Tony Riley and his wife Maril of North Vernon and James Riley and his wife Hazel of Austin; her grandchildren, Steven, Takeasha, Addison, Keeley, Jesse, Cody, Cody, Ryan, Aiden, Jake and Gregory; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Gemima Stidham; her brother, McKinley Riley; her nephew Raymond; her mother in laws Hazel and Caroline; her father in laws, Willie and Jake and a great-grandchild Baby G.
Brother Herb White will conduct funeral services at 2:00pm on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre. Visitation for Betty will be Saturday, August 1, 2020 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and on Sunday from 12noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
