Betty Jean (Creech) Taylor

Betty Jean (Creech) Taylor, age 79, a native of Stanton, Kentucky and a former resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023 at Norton Hospice in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on February 6, 1944 to the late Liberty Creech and the late Pearlie (Miller) Creech. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Betty was a kind, feisty, lady that had a sarcastic wit and humor. She loved to cook and country cooking was her specialty. 

Above all things, she loved her family dearly and treasured get togethers and times spent with them. 

She is survived by her three daughters, Deanna Quillen of Michigan, Melissa Farris of Vallonia, Indiana and Darlisa Padgett and her husband Dale of Prospect, Kentucky. Eight grandchildren, Michael Spurlock, Jeremy Spurlock, Joshua Quillen, Zachariah Farris, Timeaka Farris, James Farris, Kayla Padgett and Andrew Padgett. She was preceded on death by her parents, seven brothers, Omar, Forrest, Estill, Ernest, Charlie, James, Clyde and Reese Creech. Two sisters, Leona Roberts and Juanita Creech.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Christensen Family Funeral Home - Seymour Chapel, Visitation will resume on Monday, December 4, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Hudson officiating.  She will be laid to rest at Tea Creek Cemetery in North Vernon, Indiana.
