Barbara Burgan

Barbara E. Burgan, age 72 of Seymour, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Premier Healthcare in North Vernon. Born October 13, 1944 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Lyman and Bertha (Lutes) Burgan. In 1975, Barbara married Dennis Hanner who passed away on December 26, 2001.

Barbara was retired from Silgan Plastics where she worked in quality control. She was a 1962 graduate of Medora High School and was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. In her spare time, she collected cookbooks, enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandsons.
Survivors include her daughter Holly Harper of Seymour; son, Lyman Jenkins of North Vernon; grandsons Burgan Noble of Austin and Bingham Harper of North Vernon.

Per her wishes, no services are planned and cremation has been chosen. In her memory, friends can donate to the Diabetic Research Foundation.
