Andrew G. Howard

Andrew G. Howard, age 47 of Seymour, passed away at Schneck Medical Center at 12:45am on Monday, October 7, 2013 after two years of battling cancer. Andy was born on July 16, 1966 in Bloomington, Indiana to Bill and Gloria (Gilmore) Howard, but moved to the Howard Family Farm in Brown County as a young boy and spent the next 30 years in and around the Nashville area. He graduated from Tennessee Academy and attended Vincennes University. Andy worked a variety of jobs in his life, but was really adept at being an “ambassador of good will” to everybody he met in Brown County and in his last years, Seymour. He loved “making the rounds” visiting friends and helping with any chore or need they had. He was an avid auction goer and made a living selling his finds on Ebay even while battling a terminal illness. There were few people that Andy ever met that didn’t become a friend of his. Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Brenda (Franklin) Howard of Seymour; two brothers, Bill (Lynn) Howard of Nashville and Luke (Linnie) Howard of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two step-sons, Bruce and Shawn Simpson of Seymour. There will be a private family graveside services on Tuesday, October 8, with burial at the Hoover Cemetery on the Howard Farm in Nashville, Indiana.
