Amberly Joy (Prather) Fletcher, age 52, a native and resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at her residence. She was born on May 24, 1971 to Steven E. Prather of Crothersville, Indiana and the late Monteena "Joann" (Koerner) Prather. She was a Christian by faith. Amberly will forever be remembered as a free spirited lady that loved life and her family dearly. She enjoyed fishing, being at the river, bicycle riding and was considered to be the "garage sale queen." Above all that she loved in this life, nothing compared to the love she had for her children, grand children and her beloved dogs.
She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her and each life that she touched in her own special way.
She is survived by her father, Steven E. Prather and his wife Sandy of Crothersville, Indiana, one son, Joseph Prather of Seymour, Indiana, two daughters, Brooke Dye and her husband Blake of Seymour, Indiana and Samantha Prather of Seymour, Indiana.
Five brothers, Jonathan Prather and his wife Allison of Argyle, Texas; Kevin Ford and his wife Angie of Columbus, Indiana; Allen Ford of Columbus, Indiana; Dan Klakamp of Freetown, Indiana and Rob Klakamp of Freetown, Indiana. Four sisters, Cathy Otte and her husband Jason of Seymour, Indiana; Stephanie Teipen and her husband Scott of Brownstown, Indiana; Mary French and her husband John of Freetown, Indiana and Dawn Ford of Columbus, Indiana. Four grandchildren, Daxton Alsup, Sophia Dye, Ava Dye and Kashton Alsup.
She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, her step father, Jack Klakamp, aunt, Cindy Corya and uncle Donnie Koerner, Sr.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Christensen Family Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 7:00 PM with Pastor David Schill officiating.
The family requests memorials be directed to INDIGO Rescue, Jackson County Humane Society or the charity of choice.
