Amado Nino Rios

Amado Nino Rios, age 75, of Seymour, peacefully passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Born January 20, 1943 in Rosebud, Texas, he was the son of Marcus and Sorta (Nino) Rios.

Amado was an amazing man who loved his children and grandchildren. They nicknamed him “Dracula” because it seemed he never aged. He enjoyed sitting in the garage drinking and chilling. He was a big wrestling fan and he loved to cook, his favorite was beans and chorizo. He was known in his family to be a prankster and always pushing their buttons. His favorite things to watch were the detective and murder suspense TV shows and he truly enjoyed his friends from Texas.

He is survived by his children, Amanda (Scott) Arnholt, Dalia (Shane) Fugate, Amando (Tyler) Rios, Patrick Lee Rios, Baby Jay (Kim) Rios, Andrea Rios and Lori Rios; his grandchildren, Jonathan Ojeda, Dina Mendez, Dora (Steve) Bushee, Daniel (Nez) Garcia, Andy (Jaryn) Ojeda, Dawn Angel Phillips, Andrew Rios, Brenna Rios, Harper Rios, Henrietta Rios, Byron Perez, Tyler Perez, Keysha Burnley, Taylor Burnley, Dylan Burnley and Riley Arnholt; 16 great grandchildren and several brothers and sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Luis Rios and his granddaughter, Deanna Mendez.
