Alma F. Fox, age 87 of Seymour, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Hoosier Christian Village. Born February 25, 1930 in Madison, Indiana, she was the daughter of Everett and Alene (Stucker) Skirvin. On September 19, 1952 in Jennings County, she married Ralph R. “Bill” Fox.
Alma was a member of the Seymour Community Church. She had worked at the Shirt Factory and Columbus Engine Company, but most of her life was spent operating a poultry farm with her husband. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, reading and most of all, worshiping God.
Survivors include her daughter, Pam (Jim) Browning of Seymour; son-in-law, Chester Deaton of Seymour; grandchildren, James (Ginger) Deaton, Bradley Deaton, Bobby (Angie) Petro, Lori Lea Deaton, Bradley (Angela) Wingler, Angel Wingler and Jeffery Browning; she also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Alma was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Joan Deaton; sisters, Daisy Jackson, Virginia Bea Holcomb, Janet Green and Dora Jean Skirvin; great-grandsons, Logan and Nicholas Petro.
Brother Tim Douglas will conduct a funeral service at 2:00pm, January 18, 2018 at the Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Reddington Cemetery. Following graveside, family and friends are invited back to funeral home for a meal. Memorials can be made to the Seymour Community Church.
