Albert Ray Dyas, age 66, and a resident of Brownstown, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, Indiana. He was born on May 3, 1958, to the late Jerry Bowers and Carolyn Sue (Hibbard) Bowers. Albert attended The Well Church in Scottsburg, Indiana. He loved working on cars, driving truck, and traveling, especially to Canada. He loved his family and grandchildren, enjoying family get-togethers and grilling out. He will be remembered as loyal, hard-working, a jokester, and an excellent provider.
Albert is preceded in death by one brother, Kenny Lowery, and one sister Carolyn Lowery.
He is survived by his wife, Mary (Carmichael) Dyas; three sons, Billy Joe and wife Marsha of Seymour, Indiana, Reverend James Carmichael and wife Deborah of Freetown, Indiana, Jerry Ray Dyas and wife Leah of Freetown, Indiana; two daughters, Candy Dyas of Bloomington, Indiana, and Lacey Dyas of Louisville, Kentucky; one brother Billy Jack Lowery of Vallonia, Indiana; five grandchildren, Josiah Carmichael, Elexis Duncan, Horacio Duncan, Isabella Carmichael, and Zion Carmichael.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 24, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Christensen Family Funeral Home – Winklepleck Chapel in Brownstown, Indiana. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 7:00 PM, with Pastor James Carmichael officiating.
