Aaron Scott Caplinger

Aaron Scott Caplinger, age 35 of Winchester, formerly of Columbus, passed away on Monday, September 28th at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born January 23, 1980 in Columbus, he was the son of Dale Abney and Cynthia Caplinger Hobson. Aaron went to Columbus East High School and then went into the Army National Guard serving 5 years with one year in Afghanistan. He worked with computers at the Veterans Administration. Aaron attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Columbus. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, tattoos, listening to music and weight lifting. Aaron leaves behind his parents; grandparents, Bill and Beverly Caplinger; sisters, Nicole Harker and her husband Franz and Rachel Hobson; niece, Makayla Harker and nephew Caden Harker. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Judith Caplinger. Visitation will be from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Tuesday, October 6th at Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre at 311 Holiday Sq. Rd. in Seymour. Services will be on Wednesday at 11:00am at the funeral home with burial to follow at the Haw Creek Cemetery in Hope with full military honors.
