Thomas Wayne Elkins

Thomas Wayne Elkins, age 59 of Brownstown, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016 at his residence. Born January 28, 1957 in Seymour, he was the son of Thomas Edward and Leathy Lorene (Earl) Elkins. Thomas was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. He was a hard worker having worked many years at Jay C Group and Thomas enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.

Thomas is survived by his wife Carol Marlene (Engelau) Elkins whom he married on April 26, 1980; two sons, Travis and Jamie Elkins both of Brownstown; two grandsons; his sisters Edna Elkins of Brownstown, Bonnie Hunsucker of Medora and Penny (Dale) Shelton of Brownstown; his brother Leonard Eugene (Carol) Elkins of Norman; his nieces and nephews, John Mifflin, William (Carrie) Mifflin, Lora (Jeff) Sitterding, Heidi (Wayne) Ream, Dewayne (Darla) Elkins, Angie (Luis) Raigoza, Jeannie (John) Elkins and Michael (Shannon) Hunsucker; his great nieces and nephews, Johnny and Jeremy Sitterding, Katie Fox, Melody Ream, Jordan Fox, Savannah Summers and Nathan Mifflin. Thomas is also survived by his loving dog Cindy.

He was preceded in death by his mother, his brother in law Michael Hunsucker Sr., and one great nephew Nicholas Mifflin.
