Terry E. Mckinney

Terry E. McKinney age 76 passed away at his home in Medora Monday, August 27, 2018. He was born February 12, 1942, in Seymour, Indiana, to the late Chauncey E. “Doodle” and Beatrice J. “Babe” Kindred McKinney both of whom preceded him in death.
Terry married Judith K. Thompson on March 3, 1978, and she survives. He graduated from Brownstown High School in 1960 and was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he enlisted on August 3, 1960, and was honorably discharged on July 31, 1964. He worked at Dura as a manager for many years until his retirement. Terry was a member of Brownstown Christian Church and Hoosier Hills Treasure Hunters Club. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and the out of doors.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Judi, their sons, Mark A. (Joyce) McKinney and Scott A. (Megan) McKinney; their daughters, Cindy K. (Hersh) Hackney and Kristina K. (Chad) Beesley; his sister, Beverly (Alan) Denny; their grandchildren, Tiffany (Daniel McCory) Hackney, Chelsey (Aaron Vatthauer) Hackney, Gary (Anna Sanders) Daulton, Georgie (James) Champion, Billy Champion, Victoria (Andrew) Litchfield, Reed McKinney, John McKinney, Andrew (Justin) McKinney, Jalen and Katelin Beesley; and great-grandchildren, Lane Selfridge, Kaycie Selfridge, Ava McCory, Charlie Beineke, Axxel Vatthauer, Bryer Daulton and Charlotte and Owen Litchfield; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Kerri J. Champion.
Services will be conducted Thursday, August 30, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Winklepleck & Brock Funeral Home in Brownstown, Indiana. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 29 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at White River Valley Cemetery.
Full military graveside rites will be conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean & Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour, Indiana.
Memorials may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or Medora Goes Pink.
