Gerald Wayne Cooley

Gerald Wayne Cooley, age 62, a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and a resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at his residence. He was born on November 1, 1959 to the late Clayborne Colley and the later Doris (Shirley) Cooley Mitchell. He was a Christian by faith. Gerald enjoyed fishing, horses and travelling as he was truck driver for over 30 years. He was a kind and loving man and will be sadly missed by his friends and family.
He is survived by three daughters, Jeannie Mitchell of DeRidder, Louisiana, Ashley Cooley of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Brittany Cooley of Louisiana.
One sister, Carolyn Moses and her husband Francis of DeRidder, Louisiana. Six grandchildren, his longtime friend, Cindy Carter of Seymour, Indiana and his step father, Winfred Mitchell of DeRidder, Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother.
The family has chosen cremation and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
